William John “Bill” Welsh, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away suddenly at the Sydenham Campus of the CKHA on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the age of 73.
Bill is the son of the late William Henry & Ethel Charlotte (Elgie) Welsh. Loved brother of Bunny Atkins (Dave) and Wendy, Karen and Allen Welsh. Dear uncle of Bonny Atkins, Charlotte Atkins and Michael Atkins. Great uncle to Jacob Lozon, Alyssa and Adam Atkins, and very good friend of Theresa Jordan and family. Bill had retired from the shipping department at Waltec Brass. He was an excellent baseball umpire and enjoyed volunteering with the Optimists and Knights of Pythias, helping out with the Christmas parade and fireworks.
A graveside service will be held at Riverview Cemetery at 1 o’clock on Wednesday August 8, 2018. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg.
