Ritch Kanally, GM of the Wallaceburg Lakers, has resigned due to family health issues.
“I would like to thank the Lakers entire organization, board, fans, sponsors, staff, and in particular the players,” Kanally said in a media release.
“I have enjoyed my time in the PJHL but for family reasons have decided to return home to spend more time with my father for the time being.”
Kanally added: “I am and will continue to be a big supporter of the Lakers and the PJHL going forward and wish them both nothing but success.”
The Lakers organization thanks Kanally for his years of service and wish him well with future endeavors.
No replacement for Kanally has been named.
“I’m sure we’ll start receiving resumes right away,” stated President Darryl Lucio.
“We will start looking right away to fill the role as general manager. I don’t have a time frame in mind, but the search has begun.”
