Mrs. Dorothy Hinnegan, a resident of Port Lambton, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Trillium Villa Nursing Home, in Sarnia, at the age of 94.
Dorothy was born in Babies Point (Port Lambton) and was a daughter of the late Leo and Agnes (Moran) Murphy. Beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Hinnegan (1999).
Loving mother of Judy (the late Jim 2009) Haggerty, Joe (the late Donna 2007) Hinnegan, Joan (Brian Myers) Hinnegan, Sue Hinnegan, Wayne (Bonnie Belanger) Hinnegan, Al Hinnegan, Brian Hinnegan and the late Jim Hinnegan 2010.
Sadly missed by her grandchildren Dave (Tiffany) Haggerty, Kristine (Luke) Davis, Bridget (Jeremy) Shantz, Adam (Teri) Hinnegan, Chris Hinnegan, Ryan Hinnegan, Alicia Hinnegan, Macie Hinnegan and her great grandchildren Sam, Sophie, Tamsin, Leo and John.
Dorothy is survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Joe (Margaret), Bert (Margaret), her sisters Katy (Ray) Fournie and Marion (Walter) Fell and also predeceased by a nephew Bernard Murphy.
The late Dorothy Hinnegan is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 1-2pm. The Funeral Service will be held following the visitation on Tuesday at 2pm. Interment will take place in St. Johns Cemetery, Sombra. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Humane Society may be left at the funeral home.
