Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at approximately 11:45 p.m. emergency crews responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on Eberts Line in Chatham.
Through investigation, police believed the driver, a 48-year-old Chatham man had been driving while under the influence of alcohol and was arrested, police say.
He was then transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters for breath tests.
A 39-year-old Dresden woman was a passenger in the vehicle.
She was transported to University Hospital in London and at this time her condition is stable.
The investigation remains on-going by the CKPS Traffic Management Unit.
