Final Wallaceburg Outdoor Summer Concert Series event is tonight

The Co-Operators Wallaceburg Outdoor Summer Concert Series will wrap-up tonight (August 14) in downtown Wallaceburg.

Live and local music will be played in Library Park from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Ukulele Kings will grace the stage this evening.

The outdoor series is FREE admission and open to the public.

Those attending are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.

On site barbecues, draws and giveaways are a part of the weekly festivities.

The series attracts local boaters, kayakers and canoes, with the live music setting on the banks of the Sydenham River.

Ukulele workshop today in Wallaceburg

A ukulele workshop is set to take place on Tuesday, August 14 at Trinity United Church in Wallaceburg.

Ukulele participants can explore a range of techniques, chords, strum patterns, tuning, grooves, and songs, with interactive demonstrations and rehearsal activities.

Ben Hassenger and The Ukuele Kings will be leading this workshop, which runs from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

3Rivers Roll on Thursday

The final roll of the summer will take place on Thursday, August 16, at mPower Electric, which is located at 304 Arnold Street in Wallaceburg.

The ride leaves at 7 p.m., with the meet-up starting at 6:30 p.m.

3Rivers Roll is an hour long (13 km) bicycle route through Wallaceburg with a slow, relaxed pace and is organized by Community Living Wallaceburg.

It’s not a race, it’s a slow roll through various neighborhoods of Wallaceburg.

All bicycles, all ages, all abilities are welcome – bring your own music, decorate your bike and join in the fun.
