Griffith & Brodie competing for Athletes Fuel Cup

National Hockey League players Seth Griffith, from Wallaceburg, and T.J. Brodie, from Dresden, are among the local players set to compete for the Athletes Fuel Cup.

‘Cup Night’ is being held at the Thames Campus Arena on Wednesday, August 15.

Griffith, currently a forward with the Winnipeg Jets, and his team is playing in the semi-final game against Jamie Schaafsma, a local 15-year professional hockey player, and his squad.

Game time is set for 6:15 p.m.

The winning team will square off against Brodie, a defenceman with the Calgary Flames, and his team in the championship game at 7:30 p.m.

This is the first year for a three-team format for the tournament.

Admission is free for all the games.

While all games are fun, they are competitive with bragging rights on the line.
