Impaired driving charges laid outside of Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege on Monday, August 13 at approximately 11 p.m., officers were advised of a possible impaired driver in the McCreary Line area of Wallaceburg.

The vehicle was located a short time later and through investigation the officer believed the 24-year-old Dresden man’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, and was arrested, police say.

The man was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where he provided breath samples of his breath that registered over the legal limit.

The man has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

He was later released when sober with a future court date.
