Food banks in need before ‘Back-To-School’

The Salvation Army Food Banks are in need before the start of school in September.

“Students will be heading back to school soon and we need your help to restock the food bank shelves with healthy snacks,” local Salvation Army officials said.

“Help kids grow and learn. Donate today.”

Some school snacks needed, are:

– Granola bars (peanut free)

– Pudding and fruit cups

– Cheese and crackers

– Juice boxes

– Hearty fruits and vegetables

The Salvation Army drop-off locations, include:

– Wallaceburg, Food Bank, 600 Lowe Avenue

– Ridgetown, Food Bank, 18 Main Street

– Chatham, Food Bank, 19 Raleigh Street; Thrift Store, 456 St. Clair Street; Church, 46 Orangewood Boulevard.

– Blenheim, Food Bank, 24 Talbot Street
