Final Dresden Rotary summer concert tomorrow

Join the fun with Classic Vibe this Thursday, August 23, as the Dresden Rotary Club holds their final installment of the 2018 Summer Concert Series.

A barbecue by the Dresden and District Horticultural Society will start at 6 p.m. and music begins at 7 p.m.

There will be a 50-50 draw and door prizes, including tickets to Gowan, donated by 99.1.

The club wants to thanks to their major sponsors: Dresden Foodland, Jacksons Seeds, Dresden Vet Clinic and Dresden Lumberjack.

Torch Ride for Special Olympics Ontario

The Chatham-Kent Police Service has organized the following events so far throughout the year to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Ontario:

– Polar Plunge

– Torch Run

– Car Wash

To add to that list, recently the Torch Ride was held within the Municipality.

The total amount of money raised for the Special Olympics from these events has exceeded $20,000.
