Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege yesterday, just before 3 p.m. police responded to a collision involving a dump truck and tractor trailer in the area of Communication Road and Horton Line.
As a result of the collision the transport dumped a load of sand onto the highway.
There were no serious injuries, but the road was closed for a few hours to allow for cleanup of the highway.
Total damage was estimated at $75,000.
The collision remains under investigation.
