Theft at home build site in St. Clair Township

Lambton OPP officials allege on August 27 at 10 a.m. the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended an address within St. Clair Township to investigate a break, enter and theft of tools from a recently constructed home.

Police say investigation revealed that during the evening hours of August 25, an unknown suspect attended the home forcing entry to the interior.

While inside the home the suspects stole several high end power/construction tools.

The tools are described as being:

– Makita driver/drill

– Makita 4 amp. batteries and chargers

– Makita reciprocating saws, hammer drill and skill saw

– Makita oscillating tool, grinder, planer and blower/vacuum

– Dewalt 12″ dual bevel miter saw and stand

– 24″-78″ Stabilla level set

– Black and Decker plunge router

– Huskey tool tote

– Various bits, blades, trimmers, scrapers, chisels, knives and blades.

The estimated total of the theft is approximately $5,500.

The OPP West Region Identification and Lambton Property Crimes Unit continue to investigate.

The OPP are seeking to identify the suspect(s) and recover the stolen property.
