Impaired driving causing bodily harm

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege yesterday afternoon around 4:45 p.m. police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Kent Bridge Road.

A vehicle driving southbound made a left hand turn in front of a vehicle going northbound.

Two passengers involved were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Through investigation, the officer believed the man driving the vehicle southbound was driving while under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested.

The man was transported to police headquarters for breath tests.

The 57-year-old St. Catharines man has been charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm x 2 and over 80 mgs of alcohol causing bodily harm x 2.
