GEORGE, Matthew Ryan – At Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Sydenham Campus on Friday, August 31, 2018 in his 26th year. Beloved son of Donna (Henry) & Michael George. Loving grandson of Dave & Elise Henry, Marshall & Janet George, and Barbara & the late Orville MacGregor. Cherished nephew of Leigh George (late Naomi), Marja George, Dawn Vandermey (Pete), Patrick Henry (Tania), Ann Heynsbergen (Garry), Erica MacGregor (Kevin) and the late Gordon MacGregor. Sadly missed by Community Living Wallaceburg Staff, Roomates and Friends. Also survived by many loving cousins.
Matt was more than a hero, he was a Super Hero to many. He was happiest when he was helping others, and true to Matt, his gift of giving continues today. Matt’s wish was to be an organ and tissue donor, helping strangers and bringing a bright light to those in need.
The family request that in honour of Matt, that friends and family wear bright coloured shirts (Matthew’s favourite colour was bright yellow), in particular, Superhero Shirts, Star Wars or Race Shirts. A gathering of super friends and family to honour Matt.
Resting at Gilpin Funeral Chapel in Forest for visitation on Monday, September 3, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Kettle and Stony Point Community Centre. Interment to follow at Kettle and Stony Point Cemetery.
