Permanent downtown Chatham farmers’ market survey

(Chatham-Kent Economic Development Services)

Chatham-Kent Economic Development Services is asking people to share their thoughts about having a permanent downtown Chatham farmers market.

Economic Development, in partnership with the Downtown Chatham BIA, were approached with an idea to create a permanent outdoor structure in downtown Chatham for the purpose of a weekly farmers’ market in the summer.

“This proposed facility would house 20-30 produce vendors from across the municipality every Saturday from June to October,” Economic Development officials say.

“The majority of vendors would sell produce/food (fruit, vegetables, preserves, baked goods, etc), but we are also looking at the idea of incorporating handmade vendors as well. The first step in determining if this idea could work is to see what the community thinks and also what vendors/producers think.”

There are two surveys, one for the community and one specifically for vendors/producers:

– Survey for the public: https://goo.gl/forms/Ci49HzlaEHaTMRTB2

– Survey for vendors/producers: https://goo.gl/forms/0USESQn9JmejJwZi2

We’ve created a poll question, asking the same question as well:
