Pepper/bear spray used during a fight in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege around 5 p.m. on Sunday two females were involved in a consensual fight in the Jeffery St. area in Chatham.

Police say at one point, one of the females used pepper/bear spray on the other female.

The 33-year-old female suspect was then arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and administering a noxious substance.

She was later released from custody with a future court date.

No serious injuries were reported.
