Breach of curfew leads to charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege on June 1, 2017 a man was released from custody with several conditions.

One of those conditions stated that he was to obey a daily curfew of 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Police allege on Tuesday night, shortly after 10 p.m. an officer on general patrol observed the man walking on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg.

The officer lost sight of the man, however saw him walking again on Bruce Street on Wednesday morning around 3 a.m.

The 34-year-old Dresden man was arrested and charged with failing to comply.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
