Braelyn Joyce Blackbird of Walpole Island First Nation passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the age of 19.
Braelyn is the beloved daughter of Luke and Cynthia (Dodge) Blackbird. Cherished sister of Kayla Riley (Rob Pollock) and Legacie, Ferrah and Jerzee Blackbird. Loved granddaughter of Bernadette Blackbird, Bonnie Jacobs, Raymond and Harriet Dodge and the late George Jacobs.Goddaughter of Cheyenne Blackbird. Best friend of Chelsey, Price and Nilan.
The family will receive relatives and friends at her home, 746 Creek Road North, Walpole Island, on Saturday and Sunday. The traditional funeral will be held at the Walpole Island Sports Complex, 770 Tecumseh Road, on Monday, September 10 at 11 AM. Cremation to follow.
