Kings battling the Lakers in Wallaceburg

The Dresden Kings will visit Wallaceburg Memorial Arena tonight, Wednesday, September 19, to battle the Lakers.

Dresden is off to a hot start in the 2018/2019 Junior ‘C’ hockey season, winning their first two games.

They topped Wheatley 4-2 in their season opener last Wednesday, and they topped the Petrolia Flyers in their home opener on Friday, 7-2.

Eric Carter scored twice, while Brendan Ritchie had 4 points, 1 goal and 3 helpers.

Wallaceburg has been slow out of the gate this season, losing their first two match-ups.

They fell to Blenheim last week in their home opener, by a score of 4-1.

On Saturday, the Mooretown Flags topped Wallaceburg by a lopsided score of 10-1.

Austin Bentley scored the lone Wallaceburg goal.

Puck drop between Wallaceburg and Dresden is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. tonight.
