The annual Terry Fox Run has been deemed a success by the organizers of the Wallaceburg event.
Moira Eggett, who organized this year’s event with her husband Brad, told the Sydenham Current just over $10,000 was raised and around 130 participants took part, including volunteers.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the supporters of the Wallaceburg Terry Fox Run,” Moira said.
“We are fortunate to live in such a caring community. Without this support, this event would not have just completed it’s 38th year. Again, our thanks to the donors, volunteers and participants who continue to make it possible for The Wallaceburg Terry Fox Run to continue.”
The event was stationed at the downtown Fountain Park in Wallaceburg.
