Sarnia Police provide updates on two fatal crashes

The Sarnia Police Service have provided updates on two recent fatal crashes.

Waterworks Road and Confederation Line

Police officials allege on September 4, 2018, shortly after 11 p.m., members of the Sarnia Police Service responded to a collision involving a motor vehicle and a train at the tracks in the area of Waterworks Road and Confederation Line.

The lone occupant of the vehicle was transported to hospital and later transported to a London Hospital with critical injuries.

On September 18, 2018, the 29-year-old driver of the vehicle succumbed to her injuries and passed away.

Secondary to all the information gathered through the investigation it has been determined that no charges will be laid and thus this will conclude this investigation.

Christina Street and Maxwell Street

Police officials allege on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at approximately 11:15 a.m., the Sarnia Police Service responded to a collision in the area of Maxwell Street and Christina Street involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle.

In this incident a 31-year-old male, from Sarnia, passed away due to the injuries he sustained.

Officers spoke to a number of witnesses who had observed the incident and due to the overwhelming evidence no charges will be laid.

The officers would like to thank the witnesses in this matter for their assistance.
