Chatham-Kent Police Service officials alleges this morning, shortly after 5 a.m. an off duty officer driving into work came upon a vehicle upside down in a ditch on Bear Line Road near St. Andrews Line.
CKFES and CIRT deployed their thermal imaging cameras and K9 Arry assisted in searching the area to ensure no one was injured in the nearby tree line or bean field, police say.
No one was found.
The single motor vehicle collision remains under investigation.
