Vehicle clipped by a train, charges laid

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege yesterday afternoon, a woman slid onto the uncontrolled tracks on Caledonia Road resulting in the rear of her vehicle being clipped by a train.

Luckily, the woman was not physically injured, police say.

Total damage was estimated at $5,000.

The 23-year-old Chatham woman was charged with failing to stop at a railway crossing.
