Trespassing, break-in & theft charges laid in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege on September 26 around 4:20 a.m. a man was observed attempting to gain entry into a trailer on McKee Road in Wallaceburg.

Police say the man then proceeded to steal tools from a truck parked in a driveway down the road.

Through investigation, police identified the man responsible and a warrant for his arrest was issued for the offences of trespassing at night, attempt theft, theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000 and failing to comply with his release conditions.

Yesterday morning, officers arrested the 21-year-old man of no fixed address in Wallaceburg.

He was transported to the courthouse pending a bail hearing.
