(Wallaceburg and District Chamber of Commerce)

By Tami Eagen – Sydenham Current

The public is invited to attend the Wallaceburg and District Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Meet The Candidate Night’ on Thursday evening, October 4.

The event will take place at the Moose Lodge in Wallaceburg from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Karen Debergh, president of the Wallaceburg Chamber, told Sydenham Current that Council candidates for Ward 4 – North Kent and Ward 5 – Wallaceburg, as well as most of the Mayoral candidates, will be in attendance.

“Everybody is welcome,” Debergh said.

“People can come and go as they please. Candidates are going to have all of the information, so come with your questions.”

Debergh said the event provides an opportunity for the public to meet with and speak to the candidates running in this year’s Municipal Election.

“It is a good way for the people who are undecided they can get to know the candidates a little more,” she said.

“Instead of having a debate, where they are kind of arms length to them. They get to see them on a more personal level.”
