Coffee with a firefighter in Wallaceburg

As part of ‘Fire Prevention Week’ next week, Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services is holding ‘Coffee with a Firefighter’ in Wallaceburg.

McDonald’s and Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services are teaming up, along with fire departments and McDonald’s restaurants across Ontario, to participate in the event.

“To celebrate Fire Prevention Week, which runs from October 7 to 13, McDonald’s in Wallaceburg will be offering free small coffees to encourage community members to stop in and have coffee and conversation with local firefighters,” Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services officials said in a media release.

The event will include:

– Fire truck tours

– Marshal from Paw Patrol

– Sign-up for CHiRP Home Alarms Checks

The event is being held on October 12 from 10 a..m to 12 p.m. at McDonald’s, 50 McNaughton Ave. in Wallaceburg.

“Firefighters will be there to chat and answer all your questions about fire safety to how to become a firefighter.”
