Mail stolen in South Kent, warrant issued

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege on September 20 police recovered an abandoned vehicle in Blenheim.

The man found in possession of the vehicle fled as police arrived on scene.

Through investigation, police located stolen mail and credit cards inside the vehicle.

A warrant has since been issued for the 27-year-old Kent Bridge man for being in possession of the stolen property.

“The Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to ask residents, especially in the south end of Chatham-Kent, that if you notice your mail box has been left open or if you notice your mail has been opened, please call us,” police officials stated in a media release.
