Over 6,000 people have voted online

As of 2:30 on Friday afternoon, more than 6,078 votes have been cast online in the municipal election.

Online voting continues around the clock until 10 p.m. Monday October 15.

Voters can visit www.ckelection.com to access the voting portal.

In order to participate, voters will need their elector id (found on their voter card) and an email to register.

Anyone who did not receive a Voter Card can visit any municipal centre to get one (by adding themselves to the list, or updating their information).

A total of 7,330 Internet votes were cast in 2014.

Voters were able cast ballots in advance polls at municipal service centres in Chatham, Dresden, Ridgetown, Tilbury and Wallaceburg until 4 p.m.on Saturday.

As of 2:30 p.m. on Friday 1,615 votes have been cast in traditional advance polls compared to 2,059 in 2014.
