Faas & McGrail win in North Kent

North Kent is set to be represented by incumbent Councillor Joe Faas and political newcomer Jamie McGrail, as the pair topped the polls in Ward 4 on Monday night.

Faas was the leading vote getter in North Kent, gathering 1,528 votes (19.36%).

McGrail placed second in a tight race, finishing with 1,506 votes (19.08%).

Another political newcomer, Joey Cyples placed third at the polls with 1,418 votes (17.97%), just 88 votes behind McGrail.

Patricia Sylvain placed fourth with 1,324 votes (16.77%) and Mary Anne Udvari was fifth 854 votes (10.82%).

Steven Scott, 605 votes (7.67%), Jessica Brooks, 528 votes (6.69%) and Dylan Robert McLay 130 votes (1.65%) rounded out the crowded field.

Faas was first elected to Dresden Council in 1976, is a former mayor of Dresden and has been serving the communities of Chatham-Kent for 27+ years.

McGrail is currently the Integrated Solutions Manager for McGrail Farm Equipment and was the chair of Chatham-Kent’s Strategic Planning Committee.
