Kings rolling, Lakers reeling in Junior ‘C’ Hockey

The Dresden Kings took care of home ice on Friday night when the Wallaceburg Lakers came to town.

Dresden won by a score of 4-1.

Brendan Ritchie and Nolen Vandenboorn each had 2 goals and 2 assists to lead the Kings to victory. Brett Brochu made 20 saves to earn the win.

Jeff Williams scored the lone goal for Wallaceburg. Patrick Timpany made 36 saves in a losing effort.

Dresden remain in first place in the West Stobbs Division of the Provincial Junior Hockey League with a 13-1-0-1 record and 27 points.

Wallaceburg remains winless on the season and at the bottom of the league with a 0-12-0-2 record.

Wallaceburg also lost to Mooretown on Saturday, by a score of 6-1.

Dresden will host Essex on Friday night, November 2.

Wallaceburg will be in Essex on Tuesday and will host Wheatley on Wednesday night.
