Mullen- Tragically on Thursday, October 25, 2018, Mary Margaret “Peggy” Mullen, age 82 years of Mooretown. Beloved wife of 63 years to Dan Mullen. Much loved mother of Mick Mullen (Deb), Mark Mullen (Pat), Steve Mullen (Marilyn), Mary Ellen Moloy (Laren), Kathleen Jones (Brad) and Stacy Gormley (Pat). Treasured grandmother of Tom, Grant, Michelle, Lauren, Maggie, Melissa, Katie, Cullen, Eamon, Jackson, James, Daniel and Michael and great-grandmother of Mackenzie and Mickinley. Peggy was a loving sister to Jean English (Louis), Jay Johnston (Claudette), Mary Ellen Charron, Pete Johnston (Margie), Sherri Vandevenne (Bill) and Terry Castaldi (Ron) and sister-in-law to Terry Mullen (Anne), Elizabeth Haering (Denis), Gail Mullen and Ken Crone. She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Elizabeth Johnston, infant son Thomas, granddaughter Sara; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty Brandon (Norm) and Pene Moore (Orville); her brothers and sisters-in-law Don Johnston (Louise) and Larry Johnston (Nancy); her brother-in-law Jack Charron; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Adeline Mullen, sisters-in-law Anastasia Crone, Marianne (Bob) Taylor and brother-in-law Michael Mullen. Peggy was a long time member of St. Charles C.W.L. whose life centred on her love of family, her selfless compassion and her unwavering faith. Family and friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Tuesday October 30, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. & 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Corunna on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Dan Vere celebrating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Corunna with fellowship to follow at the Courtright Community Centre. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Church RMR Fund, Huron House Boys Home or to the charity of one’s choice.
