Suspended driver arrested in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, an officer on general patrol in Wallaceburg observed a vehicle on Lowe Avenue with an expired val tag.

The officer initiated a traffic stop and learned that the man was suspended from driving due to unpaid fines.

The license plates were also registered to another vehicle and the man was driving with no insurance.

The 32-year-old Walpole Island man was charged with driving while under suspension, using plates not authorized for the vehicle and driving with no insurance.

He will be required to attend Provincial Offences Court on November 14, 2018.

The license plates and his driver’s license were seized.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
