A number of Remembrance Day ceremonies are set to be held this week across the community, including in Wallaceburg, Dresden and Walpole Island.
Wallaceburg
On Sunday, November 11 a service will be held at Wallaceburg District Secondary School starting at 9:30 a.m. A family wreath laying ceremony will be held.
After the service a parade will take place to the Wallaceburg Cenotaph for 11 a.m.
A short service will be held with government representatives laying wreaths and any family who would like to redo their wreaths as well.
A light lunch will follow at the Legion.
A 24-hour vigil will begin on Saturday, November 10 starting at 11 a.m. at the Wallaceburg Cenotaph as well.

Dresden
On Saturday, November 10 a Remembrance Dinner is being held at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 113 in Dresden starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the bar.
On Sunday, November 11 a Remembrance Day Parade and Cenotaph Service is being held.
At 10:45 a.m., the parade will form in the parking lot at Branch 113 and will proceed to the Cenotaph.
The Sarnia Aircraft Association Flying Formation Team will be doing a flyover at the event at this time.
At 11 a.m., two minutes of silence, act of remembrance and laying of wreaths ceremonies will be held.
Walpole Island
A Remembrance Day Ceremony is being held on Friday, November 9 starting at 10 a.m.
A walk will take place from the Bkejwanong Children’s Centre to the Walpole Island Veteran’s Monument.
All are welcome to attend the ceremony, which should last about 45 minutes.
