Santa Claus is coming to Wallaceburg on Saturday

The 49th annual Knights of Pythias Santa Claus Parade is scheduled for tomorrow, November 17 in Wallaceburg.

The parade is set to begin at 2 p.m., with staging taking place on Arnold Street, between Dufferin Ave. West and Garnet Street, starting at 12:30 p.m.

The parade route will be the same as previous years beginning on Arnold Street, to Dufferin Avenue, to James Street, to Nelson Street, to Elgin Street and concluding at the St. Clair Catholic District School Board parking lot.

The theme this year is “Christmas Past & Present.”

“Children, moms, dads, grandpa and grandma bring your letters to Santa, the Knights of Pythias float will be in the parade to collect your letters,” K of P officials say.

“Please remember to bring canned goods for the food bank. The Knights of Pythias will be accepting these food donations during the parade at their float.”

The day will begin at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 18 for the 7th annual “Breakfast With Santa.”

It will run from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Pictures with Santa will be available at breakfast.

Cost is adult and kids 12 and over is $6, while kids 0-12 are FREE.

All-star Campfire Blues Jam coming to Wallaceburg

Brian Blain’s All-star Campfire Blues Jam is coming to Wallaceburg this Saturday night.

There are still tickets available for the Wallaceburg and Dsitrict Council for the Arts show taking place November 17 at 8 p.m.

“We have a great acoustic blues show planned for you,” Arts Council officials say.

“Brian Blain’s All-star Campfire Blues Jam with four of the top bluesmen in Canada, three of them, Juno award winners. Brian Blain welcomes outstanding keyboardist Julian Fauth, blues harpist Paul Reddick and multi instrumentalist Ken Whiteley to the stage of the Jeanne Gordon Theatre in Wallaceburg.”

Tickets are $30 and are available at the Wallaceburg Museum 519-627-8962.

“Come out on Saturday and support live music and the Wallaceburg Arts Council.”

There will be a cash bar and reserved seating for groups of six or more.
