Dresden LCBO theft leads to arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A couple weeks ago, a man attended the LCBO in Dresden.

He concealed a bottle of Canadian Club valued at $26 in his coat and left the store without making any attempt to pay for it.

Through investigation, police confirmed his identity and arrested him yesterday.

A 53-year-old Chatham man has been charged with theft under $5,000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.

He was released pending a future court date of December 11, 2018.
