Salvation Army officials say their goal for their 2018 Christmas Campaign (kettle donations and their letter mailouts) is $500,000.

“This money goes towards helping the vulnerable in our community with emergency assistance throughout the year, as well as providing food and toys for families at Christmas,” said Captain Karen Holland.

“We have a high need for volunteers to stand at our kettles – without volunteers, we can’t have the kettles out there.”

There are currently multiple shifts across the community left to fill for the 2018 Salvation Army Christmas Kettle campaign.

“We still need you,” Salvation Army officials posted on social media on Monday.

“Please consider volunteering some time to assist us with our Christmas Kettle Campaign.”

Salvation Army officials say Wallaceburg has 560 shifts to fill and 265 have been filled so far.
