Santa Claus is coming to Walpole Island on Saturday, December 1.
The Walpole Island Elf Association is organizing their 27th annual parade, which will begin at Bkejwanong Kinomaagewgamig at 12 p.m.
The lineup begins at 11 a.m. and the route will travel from the elementary school to the Walpole Island Sports Complex.
The theme this year is ‘Super Hero Christmas’.
The Elf Association is accepting float registrations, with the deadline to register being Friday, November 30.
The float categories, include:
– Programs and Departments
– Businesses
– Community groups
– Families
People are encouraged to join Santa and his Elves after the parade at the arena for a variety of activities, including:
– Visits and photos with Santa (bring your camera)
– Soup, cookies, fruit and hot chocolate
– Candy bags for children 12 and under
– Announcement of parade winners
– ‘Santa’s Bag of Toys’ draw
