There has been a leadership change with Water Wells First.

The local advocacy group said in a media release sent on Tuesday that Kevin Jakubec is stepping down as the spokesperson and Jessica Brooks is taking his place.

The group says Jakubec is leaving Water Wells First to spend more time with his family.

Water Wells First officials say Jakubec has led their group since 2015 and has been an outspoken activist and critic of local wind developers, the Municipality and the Ontario government.

Brooks, a Dover resident, is currently the principal at the Edward International Academy in Wallaceburg and was a municipal election candidate in Ward 4 – North Kent.
