Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in Wallaceburg.
Through investigation, police learned that this was not the first incident of domestic violence between the couple.
The 29-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with four counts of assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of uttering threats, one count of weapons dangerous and one count of failing to comply with his release conditions.
The 32-year-old Wallaceburg woman was also arrested and charged with three counts of assault, assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000 and being party to the offence of failing to comply.
Both have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
