Chatham-Kent Police Constable dies

The Chatham-Kent Police Service issued the following statement on Monday, December 17:

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Constable Randy Eckel early this morning from a medical condition.

Randy started his policing career with Haldimand-Norfolk Police in 1986 and joined the Chatham-Kent Police Service in 1998. Randy worked as a Community Patrol Officer primarily in Thamesville, Wallaceburg, Chatham and Ridgetown.

The flags will be lowered at the Municipality’s Civic Centre in honour of Randy.
