Eckel; Randolph “Randy” a “cop’s cop” passed away peacefully on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham at the age of 58. Randy was a respected Police Constable for 32 years serving on Haldiman Norfolk Regional Police for 12 years and most currently Chatham-Kent Police Service for 20 years.
Born in Clinton, son of John & Geraldine Eckel of Exeter and formerly of Varna. Beloved husband to Bonnie Morgan of Chatham. Dearest father to Esmonde Jamieson-Eckel, Evan Jamieson-Eckel, Hayden Eckel, Kendra Eckel, Brittany Reifenstein (Paul), and Brad Gawley (Megan). Big Grandpa will be forever missed by his grandsons Owen Reifenstein, Keiran and Fynnigan Gawley. Brother to Dan Eckel (Reymund), Barry Eckel (Charlene), Brad Eckel (Theresa). Remembered by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial visitation will be held at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria Street, Thamesville on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Joyce officiating.
