Update: More kidnapping & robbery charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On December 10 around 1:30 a.m. police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Park Avenue West near Bloomfield Road.

Through investigation, police learned that the driver was forced into his vehicle and threatened with a weapon after an altercation at a residence in Chatham.

After the crash, the man in the car stole the driver’s wallet and cell phone and was picked up by a trio who was following them.

Police have identified all four people responsible.

A 24-year-old woman and 30-year-old man, both of Chatham, have been previously arrested and charged with robbery and kidnapping.

Officers located the other two parties last night a 29-year old male and a 22-year old female both of Chatham have been arrested and charged with robbery and kidnapping

They were transported to Chatham-Kent Court House for a bail hearing.
