Joyce Joanne Provost, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the age of 81.
Joyce is the daughter of the late Orval & Louise (Edward) Scane. Beloved wife of Len Provost. Loving mother of Karen Desangher (Dean), Michelle Provost Blanchard (Darryl), Jeff Provost (Jamie) and Jennifer Provost. Dearest grandmother of Derek, Kevin, Erik, Christin, Kelly, Sidney and Reagan and great grandmother of 9 great grandchildren. Sister of Judy Steffler (Ralph) and the late Barbara Adams and Joe Scane.
Joyce was a well known and well loved woman who truly had a heart of gold. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and giving nature were unwavering throughout her life. Her favorite saying was “I’ll just be a minute” and she gave new meaning to the phrase “being fashionably late”. She lived for spending time with her family and friends, providing laughter and joy to everyone she came in contact with. She curled and golfed for over 44 years until the age of 75 and was a lifelong member of the Catholic Women’s League.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Wednesday. The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church on Thursday, January 3 at 10:30 AM. Interment of cremated remains at a later date.
