The Chatham-Kent Police Service are investigating a theft in Wallaceburg. Also, two warrants were executed recently in Wallaceburg as well.
Theft
Police officials allege sometime over the last week, unknown suspects entered an abandoned home by prying open a secure door and removing a ladies Schwinn bicycle valued at $400 and two children’s bikes and miscellaneous decorations.
There are no suspects but the matter remains under investigation.
Woman arrested on warrant
Police officials allege on December 4, 2018 a woman was released from police custody with a court date of December 18, 2018.
She did not appear at court and a warrant for her arrest was issued.
On Friday at 2 p.m. the 32-year-old woman was located in Wallaceburg and arrested on the warrant for failing to attend court.
She was transported to CKPS Headquarters and later released with a future court date.
Man arrested on warrant
Police officials allege in October 2018, a warrant was issued for a man for three counts of fraud under $5,000.
On Friday at 2 p.m. the 30-year-old man was located in Wallaceburg and arrested on the warrant.
He was transported to CKPS Headquarters and later released with a future court date.
