James Walter ‘Jamie’ Kicknosway, a member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away peacefully at C-K Hospice on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the age of 63.
James is the son of the late James Sr. & Nellavena (Day) Kicknosway. Beloved husband of Clara (Kiyoshk). Loving father of Fred Kiyoshk (Naomi), Warren Kiyoshk (Tena), Ernie Kiyoshk, Heath Kicknosway (Sara), James Kicknosway III (Sherry) and the late Dennis Kiyoshk. Dear grandfather of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brother of Vincent (Elaine), Everett (Gloria), Tony and the late Gardner, Scott and Elizabeth. Jamie was a former employee of Libby Foods and Industrial Pallet.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 7-9 PM on Saturday and Sunday. The funeral will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, 123 Tecumseh Rd, Walpole Island, on Monday, January 14 at 1 PM. Interment to follow at Highbanks Cemetery.
