Chatham-Kent OPP officials allege: The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Chatham-Kent is reporting that the driver of the motor vehicle involved in a collision on January 21, 2019 at approximately 12:00 p.m. has died.
Douglas Hunter, age 56 of Glencoe, Alabama was transported to an area hospital but later died after his vehicle collided with a tractor trailer in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 east of Tilbury.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured and the highway was closed for approximately six hours while the OPP’s Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) completed the investigation.
