Janis Annette Waboose, a member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away peacefully on Walpole Island on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the age of 68.
Janis is the daughter of Alfred Norman and Daisy (Nahdee) Soney. Spouse of Ralph Waboose. Loving mother of Shawn Soney, Kimberly Johnson, Denise Johnson and Kennon Johnson (Heather). Dear grandmother of Tim, Tacoma, Eric, Jaron, Jamie, April, Ashley, Nancy, Andrew, Kallie, Keanan and Pierce and great grandmother of 5 great grandchildren. Sister of Elwood, Owen, Marilyn, Deana, Kenny and the late Charles and Delbert.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Walpole Island Sports Complex from 5 PM on Wednesday until the funeral at 11 AM on Thursday, February 7. Interment to follow at Highbanks Cemetery. HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg entrusted with arrangements.
