Break-in, meth possession charges laid

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Thursday morning, a man forced his way into a family member’s home in Wallaceburg.

Police were called and the man was taken into custody a short distance away.

Upon being searched incident to arrest, the man was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Through investigation, police learned that the man was currently on conditions not to attend that specific address.

The 29-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with break and enter, failing to comply, breach of probation and drug possession.

He was transported to the Courthouse pending a bail hearing.
