Lakeshore tops Dresden in Game #2

The Lakeshore Canadiens have evened their best-of-seven playoff series with the Dresden Kings, after a 4-1 win Wednesday night in Dresden.

Derek Shaw drew first blood for the Kings with a short handed goal at the 19:23 mark of the first period.

Cory Lucier and Kenny Chisholm picked up assists on the goal, but this was all the scoring the Kings could manage at the Ken Houston Memorial Agricultural Centre on Tuesday in front of 439 fans.

Lakeshore scored three goals in the second before adding an empty net goal in the final period.

Brett Bochu made 20 saves in the loss for Dresden.

The Canadiens out-shot the Kings 24-22.

Game #3 will take place on Friday, February 22 in Lakeshore.

Puck drops at 7 p.m.

– Game #4: Sunday, Feb 24 in Dresden at 8 p.m.

– Game #5: Tuesday, Feb 26 in Lakeshore at 7 p.m.
