Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early this morning, police responded to a shooting in Wallaceburg.
A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged with attempt murder in connection with the shooting.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The victim, an 18-year-old woman, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Police believe that this was an isolated incident and that there is no threat to public safety.
The Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation.
