Fatal crash in St. Clair Township

Lambton OPP officials allege: On February 27, 2019 at approximately 2 a.m. the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended St. Clair Parkway south of Courtright Line in St. Clair Township to investigate a single motor vehicle collision.

Initial investigation revealed that the passenger vehicle had been travelling south bound on St. Clair Parkway south of Courtright Line when it failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway striking a hydro pole.

The OPP, Courtright Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services soon discovered that the male driver, Christopher Michael Douglas, 27-years-of-age of St. Clair Township, was deceased.

St. Clair Parkway was closed between Courtright and Oil Springs Lines for several hours while the West Region OPP Technical Traffic Investigators commenced their investigation.
